DIAC will be charging more fees for Australian Visa

Australia Visa fee increaseHey all - hope you are all doing fine and earning good - as DIAC is planning to increase its income too from July 2013; and for the same reason has increased the application fees - seems like they are proposed - but we know what that means, don't we ? ;-p. They have not increased the base fee; but has added additional applicant charge. Below is the table for the increase in fee of visa 189, 190 and 489. This table and 12a rule listed below is picked from DIAC site link

  1. Hello,

The increased visa fees is a bit confusing. Could you please throw some more light on this with your perspective. Well, pls consider a case where the primary applicant has 3 dependants ( wife , mother & father ). Here what I deduce from the latest pricing table is the total fees would go as follows: Base fees = 3060$
    Partner fees : 1530$ ( Nill if IELTS > 4.5 )
    Parents : 1530$ x 2 (( Nill if IELTS > 4.5 )??

So is it true that if the parents also score IELTS > 4.5 , their fees would be NILL.

    OR

its just about the second instalment to be 4250$ per head on the top of Base fees of 3060+1530x3

    please provide your valuable comments.

    Thanks
    Samvad
